Silage starter cultures

The application of our products that marked the beginning of Lactosan's success story: Since 1989, Lactosan has been producing starter cultures for silage that contain live lactic acid bacteria and support an optimal ensiling process. Since then, the initially small product portfolio has been greatly expanded to include a variety of different products for different silages (grass, lucerne, maize, etc.) or for special silage applications (biogas) and is constantly being developed further. These products are distributed by the Schaumann company.

Food supplements - Probiotics for human use

Plenty of people are talking about probiotic bacteria in food supplements and we supply the necessary raw materials (lyophilised bacterial powder ‘Made in Austria’). We offer contract manufacturing of your strains, from pilot production to industrial application, or you can purchase individual strains or strain mixtures from our range of lactobacilli or bifidobacteria.
