Ideal system for every bacterial strain

Concentration

In the enzyme production process, ultrafiltration and diafiltration systems are used to concentrate the product and for buffer exchange respectively.

The concentration capacities in detail

Biotech

The following production volume is available in the Biotech business segment:

  • 400 l/min crossflow production

  • 60 l/batch crossflow pilot plant

Biotech

The Uniflux 400 (GE Healthcare) system used at Lactosan is an automated tangential or crossflow filtration system for microfiltration, ultrafiltration or diafiltration. A 5000 litre harvesting tank specially designed for the filtration system guarantees a smooth product concentration and/or buffer exchange in the enzyme production process. The feed flow rate of the system is 400 litres/min with a filter area of 112 m2.
