Freeze drying

Das Ziel der Gefriertrocknung ist, ein getrocknetes, sehr leicht wasserlösliches Produkt zu erhalten, das nach Hinzufügen von Wasser die Eigenschaften des Ausgangsgutes unverändert aufweist. Bei diesem Prozess entfallen weitgehend enzymatische, bakterielle und chemische Veränderungen. Die Gefriertrocknung ist das schonendste Verfahren zur Konservierung biologischen Materials. Sie ist für alle bei Lactosan produzierten Stämme möglich, sowie auch das ideale Verfahren für die Herstellung von Enzymen in Pulverform.

Biotech

In the clean room of the Lactosan biotech plant, there is a freeze-drying system with an ice capacity of 90 litres per chamber, which is controlled by a process control system. The freeze-drying process is divided into the steps of freezing, sublimation, primary drying and secondary drying. Each step has its own optimised time, temperature and, if necessary, pressure limits to ensure an optimal drying process. Humidity and temperature are constantly controlled in the clean room.

Microbial Additives

The clean room at the Lactosan Microbial Additives plant, which is also suitable for pharmaceutical purposes, contains a lyophilisation system with a 90 litre ice capacity per chamber, which is controlled by a process control system. The clean room is equipped with an air filtration system and humidity and temperature are constantly controlled to keep the resulting powder dry. The optimum drying process can be individually optimized for the desired bacterial strain.

Pharma

Lactosan Pharma's cleanroom is equipped with a qualified lyophilisation system with a 60 litre ice capacity. The system has separate chambers for product and ice condenser, adjustable shelves and a closing mechanism for vials. It is controlled and documented by a process control system. The Class D clean room is equipped with an air drying system, humidity and temperature controlled to keep the powder produced dry.
